Children's (8-11 years old) Tunnel Card Making 26/02/25 1:30pm-4:30pm

With special thanks to funding from Sunderland City Council's Coalfield Area Neighbour Fund, we are delighted to bring you a series of wonderful events as part of the Holiday Activities for Children and Young People Programme.

During this tunnel card making session, children will have the opportunity to design and create their own exciting layered card with pictures that sit one behind the other to form a tunnel effect. Using paper, card and simple craft materials, children will explore how images can be arranged in layers to create depth and tell a small visual story when the card is opened.

The session will also support early learning skills in maths, English and IT in a gentle and playful way. Children will practise counting and ordering layers, measuring and folding paper, recognising shapes and patterns, and talking about the scenes they are creating.
