Free Halloween Inspired Batik Workshop 14/10/26 9:30am-12:30pm

Explore the colours, patterns and imagery of Halloween in this free creative batik workshop at Trinity Methodist Church, Shiney Row.

Taking inspiration from pumpkins and traditional Halloween colours and designs, participants will learn how to use batik techniques to create their own colourful textile artwork. You’ll explore working with wax and colour to develop your design before displaying your finished piece in an embroidery hoop, ready to take home at the end of the session.

You’ll be supported through the process by our friendly tutor, making the workshop suitable for complete beginners. No previous experience of batik or textile art is needed.

This workshop forms part of our Creativity to Tackle Isolation and Promote Community Inclusion project. Through a programme of free creative activities, the project provides opportunities for adults to get out, meet other people, learn new skills and become more connected with their local community.
